Pi Chapter is committed to serving our community.
Make a Difference Day is the fourth Saturday in October. Every year for Make a Difference Day Pi prepares immediate needs packages for Homefront, a homeless shelter/agency in Mercer County. The immediate needs items include toothpaste, soap, deodorant, and other personal care items. This year Homefront preferred move in kits cleaning kits for families newly placed in homes. In addition to 23 personal needs boxes Pi also donated 21 move in kits with mops, brooms, sponges, Fabuloso, Suavitel, and other cleaning supplies. We also donated diapers, pull ups, formula, baby food, and more baby items as well as orders from their Amazon wishlist.
Every year Pi Chapter adopts a Trenton elementary school that has active Pi Sorors. Our current school is Joyce Kilmer Middle School (K-8). This 2021-2022 school year we prepared backpacks with school supplies, masks, and sanitizer and small trinkets for the teachers.
Pi Chapter collaborated with Fathers and Men United for a Better Trenton to provided young ladies with dresses for their annual Father Daughter Dance. The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Inc. Pi Chapter was excited to be able to donate party dresses for some of the girls who needed them. Every girl should look like a princess!
